Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

These treatments work by injecting botulinum toxin into specific facial areas to temporarily interrupt the communication between nerves and the muscles they control. This reduces the muscle's ability to contract, allowing the overlying skin to relax and appear smoother.  Repeated muscle contractions such as frowning, smiling and squinting contribute to the development of expression lines and wrinkles.. Decreasing this muscles movement allows the lines to soften and slows the formation of deeper lines. 

The effects develop gradually with the full result seen at around 2 weeks. The treatment is only temporary as muscle activity slowly returns as the body naturally regenerates nerve signlas.

Effects last an average of 3 months, dependant on individual metabolism.
